MAMA is here!!! OK, it is not in MALAYSIA, but because Malaysia is a neighbour's of Singapore, we got the advantage of watching it from the local network (and it is important since I did not subscribe to ASTRO) boooo!!!! With the theme, Music Makes One, the show promise to include many singer from all over Asia (well most I can see is from China and Japan)
The show start with the performance by Simon D, YB and Diamond Duo, I think they sang two or three songs (one of it titled It's Burn) but in my opinion it quite dragging, probably because I did not know them very well. Then it continued with the performance from BEAST with their song Fiction. there is a break between the song where it filled with seductive and sexy dance between HyunA (4 Minute) and Gi Kwang ( BEAST, well actually I'm not quite sure myself!! Ho...ho...) The theme for their performance seems to be kind of Gothic style... well just imagine the scene from Taeyang's "I'll Be There" and you get the picture!
Koda Kumi make the stage hotter with her songs Ai no Uta nd VIP... her clothes goes from ephemeral red to sexy black and gold.... her dance in VIP was so energetic and the scream was fuhh!!!!! Miss A give a great performance for their song Goodbye baby Goodbye. They mixed the Chinese martial art and fan dancing into their choreography. Kind of Washa!!!! You can go to hell Nappeun Namja (Bad Man).. well that basically the feeling I get...ha...ha..
Will.i.am (Black-Eyed Peas) graced the stage with the song "The Hardest Ever". Imagine there are 10 people dancing with the face of Will.i.am... OMG.. kind of like and alien since the face can only look to the front.. ha..ha.. truly futuristic human body with head like a TV screen!!! I don't know how they managed not to make the screen slipped!! He then continue with the song "They Can Be Anything" and the song that soared their name up (might be bias of me but I know them because of this song) , "Where is The Love" with Apl.de.ap and CL from 2NE1.
Ulala Session from the program Superstar K, sang the songs "Open Arm" and "Step by Step" and though the leader have a stage 4 stomach cancer, his dance movement was awesome.. and surprisingly, though this is the first time I hear the song, I love it. They mixed the song "Sorry Sorry" (Super Junior) and "Ring Ding Dong" (Shinee) in it... kind of funny, I guess. The last song which I can not catch up since I cannot read Hangul was also catchy.. I have to stalk this band later I guess!!!
"I Believe I Can Fly" by Zhang Liang Yin continue to make the stage hot by her perfomance. She also won the Best Asian Artist (China). It followed with the performance from Kim Hyun Joong with his song "Lucky Girl"... The HAWTNESSS!!!!! For the Best Dance Performance (Female Group) they have a special performance to introduce the song which is cool.. sadly, I was unfamiliar with the singers who do the perfromance (So Sad)...... SNSD start their performance in the segment called Girl become the goddesss (Which is in line with their song "The Boys", I guess) after a great performance of dancing (sadly they did not won the award) they perform "The Boys" both in Korea and English version. they do the english version in remix style... a fast remix style!!!!!
The stage continued to make the fan goes crazy with Super Junior in their segment Mr Super Clone entertained them with the song "Mr Simple" and their ever so-famous, "Sorry Sorry". 2NE1 performed the song "Lonely" (where they sing in a virtual glass cube, beautiful enough to look real, or is it a real one, urghh I don't know anymore), and "I'm the Best" in their Break Myself segment. What I really love about 2NE1 is that, even though they are not wearing revealing clothes they are still cool and the best.... really show girl power!!!
After the Best Group (female) award, Snoop Dog and Dr Dre carried the excitement to another level with their hip hopness (is this exist? this word, ha..ha.. whatever) before continue with Best Song Award which had been won by 2NE1's "I'm The Best" (Yoohoooo! naega chae cha la ga - really an appropriate song to win), Artist of The Year won by SNSD while Album of Year won by Super Junior with the album "Mr Simple". MAMA ends with the performance from DJ Koo and the winners of the Dance Relay Event.
There are many popular Korean actor/actress that MC-ing this award for examples, Song Seung Hun (Autumn in My Heart), Park Si Yeon (My Girl), Song Joong Ki ( Sungkyungkwan Scandal), DJ Koo, Kang So Ra (Dr Champ) Cha Ji Heon (Protect The Boss) and Park Shin Hye.There are also people from Mnet America like Chrissa and PK

p/s I'm so sad that C.N Blue is not here... now I'm off to watch the Melon Award which I missed last week. can't wait for the Gayo Daejun!!!!
